One of the mountain ranges near where we stayed is call the Dolomites. The best way I can describe it is as if you took the Rockies and the Smokies slammed them together and added a 1000 feet.
This lake was known because it changed colors at different times of the day, from rose to lavender to the green you see here.
We were hoping to do a cable car ride but they were closed until July.
Notice the road and there are no rail guards
