Our Hike

Nana, Elaina and I took a hike this past Friday. It was supposed to a moderate 1.3 miles down and 1.3 back to the Rose River Falls. Because the water level was so low, when we got to the falls, a couple that was already there told us that they were not the falls and that we would know them when we came to them. We got a 100 yards past them and I told mom I was almost positive those were the falls but that the water level was so low they were virtually gone. But we kept going! Our 2.6 miles became 4+ ! Tom and Barrett were back at the car waiting for us as well so we had to keep moving. I was carrying an extra 40 lbs between Elaina and the backpack. Needless to say the moderate hike just about did us in! We had a nice time but were pretty beat.
Above is an unnamed waterfall. It would have been easier just to hike there!

Nana took over the back pack the last 200 yards are so and kept saying, " I don't know how you have done this!" You should have heard her whine! (love ya mom!)

Our Heros at the end!
